The last decade has seen an explosion of multiplexed technologies. This type of test allows simultaneous measure of multiple analytes in a single assay.
The advantages of multiplexing:
- More data per assay
- Lower costs due to saving time and less reagents
- Miniaturization
Cambridge Biomedical offers the following multiplexed technologies:
- MesoScale Discovery (MSD) is multiplex anitbody assay system
- qPCR is a high-throughput (96 or 384 wells format) test allows to detect 2-4 targets in one test tube.
One of the examples is our Human Immunodeficiency Virus qPCR assay. This test can rapidly detect viral load and discriminate between most common Groups A and B of HIV 2.
