Julie-Susan Michaud Joins Cambridge Biomedical as Director of Quality Assurance

Cambridge Biomedical Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Julie-Susan Michaud as Director of Quality Assurance.  Ms. Michaud joined Cambridge Biomedical on March 08, 2010.  She brings over 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical /biopharmaceutical industries to Cambridge Biomedical.  Immediately prior to joining the Company, Julie held the position of Associate Director of Quality Assurance at Ipsen Biomeasure.  She was responsible for  overall management of quality activities including maintaining compliance and knowledge in GLP and GMP regulations, implementation and management of regulatory, GMP and GLP training systems, institution of an effective and compliant document control system, and leading the company in establishing a  compliant Phase 3 biotech manufacturing plant for API.  Responsible for internal and regulatory auditing, including remediation plan implementation and maintenance.

Previously, Ms. Michaud held positions at both Sanofi Pasteur and Acambis, in the role of Associate Director of Validation.  She was a contributor in the Management of Quality and Validation oversight of all CMOs, managed and monitored multiple GLP studies submitted to the FDA, and had extensive interface with FDA, CBER, and CDC over the course of a Fast Track project resulting in successful licensure of the smallpox ACAM2000 vaccine.  Julie also has held leadership positions in Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing, Laboratory Management and Sales.  She has degrees in both Biotechnology and Management.
