Eddie Hutchison, MPH, MT (ASCP) QCYM comes to Cambridge Biomedical Inc. with an extensive background in clinical laboratory operations. Most recently, Eddie was employed by St. Jude Children's Research Hospital where he managed the clinical flow cytomety laboratory overseeing laboratory operations for leukemia/lymphoma immunophenotying, lymphocyte subsets, PNH, DNA indices, and Minimal Residual Disease testing using up to 8-color flow cytometry.
Prior to St. Jude, Eddie was the Specimen Management Department Manager at a reference laboratory in Tennessee. He managed approximately 50 employees processing 3,000 individual specimens a day to 70 employees processing over 14,000 specimens a day (367% increase workload with only a 40% increase in personnel). He also brings with him a developed background in clinical chemistry and toxicology.
Believing that the laboratory technologists are one of the most important assets in the laboratory, Eddie has led employee development initiatives to improve morale, teamwork, and emotional intelligence factors among the staff, leading to a more cohesive, satisfied, creative, and productive team
