We have had a very mild winter in New England, nothing like last year! We know it's not over yet though and there could still be another surprise in store for us.

Message from our CFO

I assumed responsibility in January for financial operations in Cambridge Biomedical and am focused on improving operational efficiencies within the company as it positions itself for continuing double-digit growth.

Cambridge Biomedical’s strength in bioanalytical assays and diagnostic testing is well known in the industry and I am excited by this opportunity to help develop the infrastructure within the company with its team of highly experienced staff through its next phase of growth.

Working at Cambridge Biomedical by Dr Asma Ejaz

I joined Cambridge Biomedical Inc. about three months ago as a Research Scientist III. I have previously worked at several of the world’s best hospitals and institutes including Joslin, BIDMC, Harvard Medical School, and Tufts University. I have with numerous state-of-the-art techniques involved in high-tech research including surgeries on small and large animals, the identification of specific target genes with PCR, and confirmation of protein expression with Western blots, Histology, ELISA, and the use of siRNA to modify expression of these target genes. I have published a book and authored/co-authored several research articles in peer-reviewed journals during the course of my doctoral and postdoctoral research. I have also worked as a consultant at HNRCA USDA Tufts University.

At Cambridge Biomedical, I was speedily integrated into a variety of highly different projects using multiple technologies such as IHC, In situ hybridization, PCR, genotyping, and Luminex. I was also tasked with laboratory equipment procurement, upgrade, qualification, and validation. In a short period of time I was involved in writing protocols, SOPs, reports, and developing assays for assay validation. I am confident that this will be an exciting and intellectually stimulating experience to further my research and career endeavors.
